Gearing up for another year of making art. My old gloves have had it.
I want to begin the year by thanking you guys. Thanks to everyone who purchased art from me last year, and to those of you who didn't, but took the time to stop and say hi and give me feedback. Thanks to everyone who kept me in mind when they needed a gift for someone, and to those of you I told, "That's okay, just send me a check," and you actually did! (I'm 100% in that department to tell the truth. No one has ever stiffed me. Sue's Art people are generally pretty cool.)
Thanks to those of you who insisted on paying more than the agreed upon or listed price. (Surprisingly, there were about four or five of you-- BIG thanks to you guys.)
Thanks to the client who accidentally received a personal email from me, a mistake on my part, signed something like, "girl posse central command", and chose to see it as funny instead of just annoying.
Thanks to everyone who brought me weird, old, random, metal things. You never know what they'll become. I love that stuff!
To show my appreciation, I'm giving away a little valentine's gift, that may wind-up looking something like this-- (the flames would be gold colored)
If you'd like to have a chance to win, just comment on the blog anytime between now and Feb 8th. Anything will do-- "pick me" -- what you write doesn't matter. Just get yourself in the running.I can't show you my first project yet because it's top secret. When it's done and safe to reveal, I'll put up pics. I have 3 commissions waiting so far. One I can't start until spring-- a series of paintings I'll have to do outside.
I also have to get back to my pet project. I want to have this installed at the mountain bike trail by spring. As you can see nothing much has been done on her since last summer.

I want that Valentine art right after the kitty hat! Ha ha, I figure if I bug you enough something will happen. Love your site, your writing, your art!
Thank you for all your art "energy" I love my piece and love you.

Thanks!
QiCathy-
Thanks very much. I love your peaceful, healing energy. I hope you're getting good vibes from the heron whenever you see it. :)
Hi Sue,
This is Evy's daughter. I bought my Mom and sister one of your trees for Christmas at Krista Artista.I was so excited to give to them a little piece of yours, because you live in Mom's old house. It just made sense. For the week I had the trees in the house, it spoke to me and reminded me of my very large family, now diminished physically, but all around having branched out to the spiritual world.
Hi Leigh!
That is so cool-- thanks. I don't think that connectivity ever goes away. We feel very lucky to be in such a wonderful place. :)
Poor girl...looks like her teeth are chattering! Thanks for being my very arty friend to whom I can hitch my wagon and point to and say, "see how cool she is? I must be too, since she is my friend!" =)
MKris-
Awe shucks. Just so you still hang in there when people say, "Wow, what a dork!" too. Because that also happens. =D
Oh you know I had to comment now!
And please feature more of your art on here! I can send some to my parents for their birthdays! LOL
From b_elliott: (this dumb thing won't let me comment with my name - grrrr) Sue, she's just gorgeous! I love the accidental leaf in her hair. Just think how beautiful she'll look as nature changes her daily. Wow! And her snow hat! A bit Jackie-O. Hee.
Hi Sue, I'd love to win the Valentine's art. Valentine's Day is our anniversary!
It's good to see you back, and the blog looks great.
I love seeing your art, and one of these days, I'll be able to afford to actually get some of it. *S*....In the meantime, looking is fun.
JKB, Beth, Zoma, Sequana--
